I'm so glad you are in my life

Uganda

I have exciting news! I am going to Uganda on May 27th through the U's study abroad program!Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a dream of visiting other cultures and helping people less fortunate than myself. I have especially had a desire to visit Africa. There is a quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes that I love and that I try to live by. He said, “A mind that has been stretch by a new experience can never go back to its new dimensions.”(Holmes) Traveling and helping people can open up a world of possibilities and a new way of thinking.

I found an awesome website (www.trekearth.com) where photographers but up their photos from around the world. It is all categorized by country and it is a great resource. I have been studying about Uganda and these are some of my favorite pictures I have found from trekearth.com

This year I have had the wonderful opportunity to be the president of my sorority -Tau. I have loved getting to know the girls and the spirit and friendship that they bring to our chapter. Each girl is unique and has something different to offer. I am amazed by the testimonies of these girls. They have strengthened my testimony and made me a better person. I love Lambda Delta Sigma and the blessing that Tau has been in my life.

Time

Sometimes I wonder why time seems to go by so slow and so fast at the same time

Then I have to remind myself to enjoy every minute of it. There is excitement in not knowing things that will happen in the next part of my life, but at the same time I wish I could fast forward a little bit to see how things would turn out. Time goes by especially slow when you think you have a pretty good idea of how things will turn out, but you just have to let things take their course. Time is frustrating. And so are people. I will just have to wait. I have come to the conclusion that I am just impatient.

Merry Christmas

Christmas was great this year. I got a lot of books, watched lots of basketball, and spent a lot of time with family and friends.

Oh and did I mention that tomorrow I am going to Phoenix to see my Suns and Steve Nash play? Best christmas present of all. I could not be more excited. 5 days, 2 games, and warm weather :)

Reasons

looking back at this past week makes me tired

this has been a roller coaster of a week

for so many different reasons

some of those reasons are good/bad/happy/sad

i'm grateful for hard times

and for people that care about me

most of all i'm happy its the start of a new week
